About this Carnelian bracelet
The ancient Egyptians placed carnelian in the burial chambers of pharaohs to sustain them in the afterlife, calling it the setting sun and relying upon its orange fire to provide the vitality required for whatever came next. Roman soldiers wore it into battle carved with the image of Mars; medieval alchemists listed it first among the stones of energy and bold action. In traditional energetic practice, carnelian is linked to the sacral chakra and is historically the most direct stone for restoring physical drive, cutting through inertia, and re-engaging the body with the task it was built for.
We craft this piece for builders starting early shifts in Grand Baie, students facing their third revision session of the day, and small business owners who need to walk into a room projecting energy they do not yet feel. History
Carnelian was a highly prized stone in antiquity, widely used by the Minoans, Greeks, and Romans to carve signet rings for sealing crucial documents, as hot wax does not stick to the stone. The ancient Egyptians traditionally called it the setting sun, burying it with pharaohs to provide courage in the afterlife. The name likely stems from the Latin word 'caro', meaning flesh, referencing its warm colouration.
