About this Black Obsidian bracelet
The ancient volcanic glass of absolute truth and profound energetic shielding.
History
Formed from rapidly cooling lava, black obsidian has been instrumental to human survival since the Stone Age, heavily utilised globally to knap incredibly sharp arrowheads and cutting tools. In ancient Mesoamerica, the Aztecs and Mayans traditionally carved the dark volcanic glass into ceremonial mirrors, employing them to reveal hidden truths and divine the future. The material is named after Obsius, the Roman explorer who, according to Pliny the Elder, discovered a similar stone in ancient Ethiopia.
