About this Blue Lace Agate bracelet
A softly banded blue stone traditionally revered for gentle, articulate communication.
History
While agate itself has been used as a gemstone since the Neolithic era and was extensively carved by the ancient Babylonians, the specific blue lace variety was only discovered in the mid-twentieth century on a farm in Namibia. Despite its lack of ancient mythological pedigree, modern traditional practices quickly embraced the delicately banded stone, associating its fluid, wave-like aesthetic with calming energy. The overarching name agate is derived from the Achates River in Sicily.
