About this Hematite bracelet
Hematite is iron oxide, and its name derives from the Greek word for blood: ancient cultures observed that the stone's dust stained red when cut or ground, connecting it inseparably to the life force of the earth. Roman legions carried it as a protective grounding talisman, and indigenous traditions across several continents have independently used the dense mineral to prepare warriors and healers for demanding, embodied work. In traditional energetic practice, hematite is firmly anchored to the root chakra and historically believed to be the most direct path back to physical presence — particularly useful when anxiety has pulled the mind somewhere it cannot actually help.

History
Hematite was extensively used by ancient cultures; a red ochre form of the mineral is found in Paleolithic cave paintings. Ancient Egyptians traditionally carved it into protective amulets, while Roman soldiers associated the iron-rich stone with Mars, the god of war, wearing it to instil courage. The name derives from the ancient Greek word 'haima', meaning blood, referencing the dark red streak the stone leaves when scratched.
