About this Howlite bracelet

The striking white stone traditionally utilised for profound patience and calm.

History

Unlike classical gemstones with ancient mythological roots, howlite is a relatively modern discovery. It was first officially documented in Nova Scotia, Canada, in the mid-nineteenth century. Despite its recent introduction to mineralogy, modern traditional practices quickly adopted the opaque, veined stone as a powerful visual anchor for meditation and the reduction of frustration. The stone is named after Henry How, the Canadian chemist and mineralogist who first identified it in 1868.
