About Moldavite

The ancient green tektite traditionally revered for rapid spiritual transformation.

History

Formed approximately fifteen million years ago by a meteorite impact in southern Germany, this green tektite was scattered across the modern-day Czech Republic. Neolithic peoples in Eastern Europe traditionally used moldavite as a talisman for fertility and good fortune, and archaeological digs have uncovered amulets crafted from the natural glass. In modern traditional practices, it is highly associated with profound spiritual shifts. The stone is named after the Moldau River in Bohemia, where the first recorded specimens were discovered.
